My Solo Exhibition Next Month in San Diego

Prague (Czech Republic) Paintings

  Despite a threatening sky, streets in the heart of Prague were full of life.  Here in the city's Old Town, tourists moving about with their travel guidebooks were everywhere, proving that Prague is one of the most visited cities in Europe.  Many squares and alleys, surrounded by magnificent architectures, were also crowded with shoppers, diners, street performers and onlookers.   This elegant quarter in Prague has such a wonderful atmosphere I wouldn't be surprised if there was quite a large number of artists in the crowd who traveled there for new inspiration and ideas.  I thought, like Rome and Paris, almost anything in [...]

Workshop in San Diego - Next Weekend

Fanta's Café, Prague, Czech Republic

  When you arrive in a foreign city and the first thing you see is an Art Nouveau-style café like this, whatever anxieties you may have about being new to the place will disappear.   Fanta's Café, named after the architect Josef Fanta, is housed inside the main railway station in Prague.  The station looks like it has seen its better days but it still holds its charm and beauty.  Before heading out to the city, it is worth spending a few minutes here with a cup of coffee, to enjoy artistic decorations all around.     Praha Café I   Click here for an enlarged view of this [...]
