Autumn, Kyoto, Japan

During the year 2022 I was fortunate to travel quite a bit. Each trip was wonderful as it gave me special memories and more creative ideas but the last trip was the most memorable when I finally made it to Japan, my homeland, for the first time in 3 years. In the months & years to come, I'm hoping to share these experiences through my art and other means. To start, I made a video: here's a link on my YouTube channel, "Sketching Through Europe." 2023 WORKSHOPS

TUBAC, ARIZONA, January 31-February 1, Capturing the Essence of Watercolor. Always fun to paint in this artist-friendly town of Tubac, just south of Tucson, that delights the artist with their lovely southwest landscape and friendly vibe!

LAKE ZURICH, ILLINOIS, March 10-12. I'm happy to return to the heart of the Midwest region to teach this 3-day workshop "Design Better in Watercolor." My class is always filled with a lot of enthusiasm and laughter.

FAIRBORN, OHIO, May 1-3. In this workshop, we will explore creative expressions in various subjects with watercolor. A lot of demos and lively discussions to be anticipated!

SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO is the venue of my plein-air workshop, May 22-26. This location, considered by many to be an artist's paradise, offers a variety of views and unique inspirations.
