Portofino, tucked away between rugged cliffs, must be one of the most beautiful spots along the Italian Riviera coastline.  A short drive there from a nearby larger town of Santa Margherita Ligure is also fun as one spectacular scenery after another unfolds after each turn.  But only passengers can fully enjoy the coastal views.  The driver must pay full attention to the road which is really winding.  Once in town, there is no need for a car because it is so small you can walk from one end to the other in a few minutes... well, if you don't stop and appreciate the sheer beauty of what makes Portofino such a gem.
