I'm always impressed when I see a painter that can reach out and grab the atmosphere and nail it down without overworking the piece. Fine work indeed.

I love this painting. I can almost feel the moisture in the air, early sunrise, dew. Purple and green, but the cool greens, and the warm stand of trees bottom right reflecting the glow, after roaming around the buildings, my eye comes to that stand of trees. I love how the Alps background sweeps down lost in the atmosphere. This is what art and watercolor are about.
