Paris (#3) - Champs-Élysées

"Aux Champs-Élysées" was the first French song I heard and I liked it so much.  I think I was about 6 or 7 years old.  I would try to mimic the lyrics, without knowing what the song was all about.  Little did I know I was singing about the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the world's most beautiful avenue.

Because of my father's profession and interests, I was exposed to more music from France than an average kid growing up in Japan.  Frankly, most of it sounded too foreign to me back then, but this song did tickle my fancy with its melodious tune.
